Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Owensville, MO is seeking a Forklift Operator 3 (Finance) to move paper materials and products within our warehouse. You will operate forklifts, load/unload trailers, and maintain inventory accuracy in a fast-paced setting.

The role includes a starting rate of $21.00/hr with a raise to $21.50/hr in 6 months if eligible, plus $1.25/hr night shift premium for 3pm–3am shifts. Schedule features 12-hour crews and variable weekly hours.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift controls in warehouse or factory settings.
• Ability to perform safety checks on lifts and follow procedures.
• Knowledge of load balancing and stacking requirements.
• Proven ability to navigate tight aisles and ramps with loads.
• Ability to exert physical effort to move objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklift to move raw paper materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Load and unload semi-trailers as required.
• Maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies.
• Load/unload materials onto pallets and lifting devices.
• Perform safety checks on lifts and maintain equipment.
• Assess load weight and balance to ensure safe handling.
