Job summary

B&GFoods Inc. in New York seeks a team member for sanitation, assembly line work and machine operation in a food manufacturing facility. The role supports production, packaging and quality control.

Schedule is 3rd shift: 11:30pm–8:00am, Sunday to Thursday. Must lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining safety and accuracy. Night differential applies.

Qualifications

• May need to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours)
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, twisting, and reaching
• Ability to safely climb ladders or stairs as required for accessing work areas
• Ability to kneel, squat, maintain balance on uneven or elevated surfaces, and perform equipment inspections as needed
• Ability to push/pull heavy materials and use hands for gripping and assembling parts
• Flexible in a fast paced environment
• Attention to detail is a must
• Strong and efficient work ethic
• Ability to learn quickly and retain new information
• Warehouse/Production experience - preferred

Responsibilities

• Remove bulk glass from Pallet onto a conveyor belt, varies by jar size
• Apply dog bones to jars in trays and inspect labels
• Place boxes or trays on mezzanine for case packer
• Assist in prep of fresh ingredients when available
• May work in filling room adding produce to jars
• Make boxes for production when needed
• Feed trays or boxes to Case packer when needed
• Rework jars with bad labels
• Assist in pushing jars upstream on a conveyor belt
• Job responsibilities may vary depending on production
