Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Sanitation Operator for the 3rd shift to clean and sanitize food processing equipment and surfaces in compliance with USDA standards. The role requires ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in cold, wet environments.

Responsibilities include pre-rinsing, applying chemicals, final rinses, equipment disassembly for cleaning, and maintaining hygienic production areas while following safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols. Some rotating duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in the sanitation of food processing equipment.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a cold, wet, and humid environment.
• Must observe all required hygiene & safety procedures at all times.
• Must be able to stand for entire shift.
• Job requires repetitive bending, lifting, twisting, turning and reaching high and low levels frequently.

Responsibilities

• Remove all product and materials from the area.
• Pre-rinse area from top to bottom.
• Apply chemicals to equipment from bottom to top.
• Final rinse and check for corrections.
• Clean production areas per USDA standards.
• Disassemble equipment daily for cleaning.
• Clean floors and drains; dispose of waste.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
• Rotations between areas may occur.
