Job summary

The Ziegenfelder Company is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Technician to keep production lines running smoothly in a food manufacturing setting. The role requires hands-on maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC systems, with focus on safety and food quality standards.

Starting pay is $26.00 per hour, with a 40-hour week and set days off; benefits begin after 60 days. Candidates should be ready to work nights and shifts as needed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in industrial maintenance.
• 5+ years as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in food manufacturing.
• 3-5 years in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• 2+ years as a machinist, if applicable.
• Industrial electrical experience preferred.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration a plus.
• Flexible to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production equipment is set up and maintained for quality output.
• Prepare and configure machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, PLCs and hydraulic systems; provide quick maintenance.
• Check and maintain fluid levels in various equipment.
• Overhaul existing production equipment when needed.
• Perform daily checks of ammonia refrigeration, boiler and air systems.
• Inspect and repair facility items as directed.
