Job summary

The Ziegenfelder Company in Lockhart, TX is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the 2pm-10pm shift to support our food manufacturing operations. You will set up and maintain production equipment, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and ensure safe, efficient runs.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years in maintenance, and experience with ammonia refrigeration.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance ideally in a food environment.
5+ years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role, preferably in the food manufacturing environment or equivalent/relevant experience.
3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment highly preferred or equivalent/relevant experience.
2+ years of experience as a machinist, if applicable.
Industrial electrical experience is preferred.
Experience working with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain production equipment to ensure quality output.
Prepare and configure machinery for scheduled production runs.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronics (PLC’s), and hydraulic systems and provide immediate corrective maintenance.
Check and maintain proper fluid levels in equipment and perform overhauls as needed.
Complete daily checks of ammonia refrigeration, boiler, and air systems.
