Job summary

Tim’s Cascade Snacks, a subsidiary of UTZ Quality Foods, is seeking a Packer for our Algona, WA facility on the 3rd shift. The role includes inspecting and packing quality products into cartons in a team setting with sanitation duties to maintain equipment and facilities used for food processing.

This position operates on 3rd shift: Monday-Thursday 10:45 pm–6:15 am and Friday 10:30 pm–10:30 am, with some Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Experience in a food processing facility preferred.
• Ability to communicate production issues to co-workers and supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production line environment.
• Must be able to repetitively lift to 12 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Packs bags and/or barrels of product into cartons and/or cases.
• Assembles cartons, applies stickers, and packs cases according to specifications.
• Inspects quality of product and packages and alerts supervisor of problems.
• Supports training of new Packers and trains others as needed.
• Loads boxes onto skids and prepares boxes to be packed.
• Keeps packaging lines and transfer belts clean and sanitized.
