Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support licensed personnel in providing safe, compassionate care to patients. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, phlebotomy, and 1:1 patient observation as assigned.

You will document measurements and patient intake in the Electronic Health Record, assist with meals, transport supplies, and help with admissions and discharges.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and assist with mobility.
• Proficient use of Electronic Health Records for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care duties including vitals, phlebotomy, and 1:1 observation.
• Documents height, intake/output, and vitals in the EHR.
• Assists with feeding and meal setup as needed.
• Keeps patient rooms stocked, clean, and prepared.
• Assists with admitting and discharging patients and with rounds.
• Communicates with nursing staff and supports a collaborative team.
