Job summary

The University of Washington’s UW Medical Center Northwest is seeking a Night Shift Float Nurse to join the Acute Care Resource Team in Seattle. You’ll rotate through inpatient units on a 3x12 schedule, working straight nights from 7:00pm to 7:30am with weekend rotations.

This role offers cross-training opportunities on specialty floors including ED, ICU, and behavioral health, allowing you to deliver bedside nursing care across diverse settings while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 3 years of acute care inpatient hospital nursing experience.
• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State.
• Exposure to behavioral health nursing or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Identify care needs across a broad spectrum of hospital departments.
• Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing supervisor.
• Work alongside doctors, social workers, care managers, and therapists.
• Restore patients' health by following evidence-based nursing practices.
• Monitor and administer medications and IVs.
