Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support the night shift float pool (7P-7A) under the supervision of an RN. You will perform basic patient care tasks, help ensure safety and comfort, and respond to urgent situations according to hospital procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Nurse Assistant program (CNA preferred), or enrolled in a nursing program with relevant coursework; certification in BLS Heart Saver is required during orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; CNA preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or active nursing student with Fundamentals of Nursing.
• Foreign trained RN relocating to the US without a Michigan RN license is considered.
• Medical Assistant program may be acceptable depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs under RN supervision.
• Assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Participate in continuing education as directed.

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (PCT/PAT) or nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing

Foreign trained RN relocated to US without Michigan RN license

Medical Assistant program with or without experience

At least 1 year of NA/PCT/PAT or similar experience
