Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Part Time Nurse Assistant for the Float Unit, 24 hours per week, daytime shifts with alternating weekends. Under RN supervision, you will provide essential patient care, document care, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with admissions, transfers, discharges, and basic patient services such as bathing, feeding, mobility, and transport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA preferred; Nurse Assistant program completion required.
• May be enrolled in nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing completed.
• Foreign trained RN relocating to the United States without a Michigan RN license.
• Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
• At least one year of NA/PCT/PAT experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Assist the RN in admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
• Provide personal care to patients: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility.
• Deliver supplies to patient rooms and ancillary departments.
• Document patient care provided.
• Perform general clerical duties as assigned.
• Respond to emergencies and alarms per established procedures.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
