Job summary

Novolex in City of Industry, CA is seeking a Flexographic Press Operator to run our printing press on various paper stocks, ensuring print quality and monitoring press conditions.

Available shift is 3rd: 10:30pm - 6:30am (training on 2nd shift: 2:30pm - 10:30pm). Starting pay rate is $26.08 - $31.25/hour with $0.50 extra on 2nd shift and $1.00 on 3rd shift. The role emphasizes safety, maintenance, and quality checks to meet customer specs.

Qualifications

• 1 to 5 years of flexographic printing press operator experience and/or training
• Knowledge of major flexographic press brands and setups
• Willingness to train on 2nd/3rd shift and adhere to safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines
• Report safety concerns to supervisor
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Complete pre-flight/make-ready for job order
• Gather/verify print cylinders, anilox rollers, substrate, inks, cores and supplies
• Perform plate mounting as needed
• Operate press to meet customer specifications and track quality metrics
• Perform color, quality checks including ink adhesion and registration
• Follow procedures under BRC standards
• Perform scheduled preventative and unscheduled maintenance of press
• Comply with GMP/HAACP/BRC and other regulations
• Other tasks as required
