Job summary

Revel IT seeks a hands-on Network Engineer for Columbus, Ohio to design, deploy, integrate, and troubleshoot network infrastructure across mobile and remote environments, including SD-WAN, fiber, and cellular connectivity.

The role involves field deployments, equipment installations, and working odd hours; you will troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, document changes, and coordinate with field personnel to ensure reliable operation from installation through ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, switching and WAN knowledge.
• Experience with cellular/LTE/5G connectivity.
• Fiber installation, testing, and troubleshooting knowledge.
• Hands-on in rack, cable, power, and hardware integration.
• Proficient with CLI and OSI model diagnostic methods.
• Willingness to travel to deployment sites.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot networking equipment in mobile and remote environments.
• Configure SD-WAN technologies and manage WAN connectivity and performance.
• Coordinate with field personnel to install fiber and power systems for network equipment.
• Read diagrams and cabling plans and document changes.
• Travel to remote or mobile deployment locations as required.
• Ensure network operation through hands-on troubleshooting.
