Job summary

Pilot Fiber, Inc. in New York City is seeking a skilled fiber-splicing technician to join our field team. You will interpret splicing schematics, prepare work zones, perform fusion splices, and build splice enclosures in outdoor, underground, and in-building settings.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience splicing high-count fiber-optic cables in outside/inside plant settings.
• OSHA-30 certification and safety-focused approach are required.
• Proficient with field diagnostic tools and cable records/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and organize splicing schematics and work orders for planning.
• Perform single and ribbon fusion splices on fiber cables.
• Build and maintain splice enclosures in various environments.
• Maintain splicing records and reports; communicate project updates.
