Job summary

Sabert Corporation is seeking a Night Shift Feeder/Packer in Richmond, VA. You will interchange feeder and packer duties to support production, loading feeds, inspecting products, and ensuring accurate packaging.

Responsibilities include feeding up to 6 machines, maintaining formers, monitoring quality, and following GMP, PPE, HACCP and JSA rules. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and basic math skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Packaging experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Must be dependable and a team player.
• Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, internal quality procedures, and machine operating procedures.
• Ability to communicate production and machine issues to supervisors and others in work area.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment around machinery.
• Basic mathematics (i.e. counting), basic arithmetic operations.

Responsibilities

• Feed a minimum of 4 machines, feeding requires lifting product, pre-breaking them and placing product into feed hopper.
• Maintain 6 formers and feed to ensure continuous operation.
• Take plastic off loads and remove tickets; hand tickets to operator.
• Monitor quality, ensure cartons are straight, remove loose scrap, and sort as required.
• Maintain inventory and supply case packers with required materials.
• Follow safety requirements including GMPs, PPEs, HACCP & JSA regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Make boxes and label boxes.
• Fill glue containers for machines.
