Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Feed Haul Driver in the Broadway, VA area to transport feed to poultry farms, operate and maintain hauling equipment, and ensure timely deliveries supporting production. You will coordinate with feed mill personnel, live production teams, and farm staff while adhering to safety, biosecurity, and company policies.

Qualified candidates have at least 12 months of tractor/trailer experience, good communication, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and operate a manual CMV.

Qualifications

• 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months.
• If the driver has a positive test for drugs or alcohol in the previous 5 years, they are not eligible.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others to maintain harmony with co-workers.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Must have the ability to operate a manual CMV.

Responsibilities

• Operate feed haul trucks safely and efficiently.
• Conduct equipment inspections following company guidelines and report issues to the Supervisor.
• Operate trucks in a manner that maintains product quality and integrity.
• Communicate effectively with associates, maintenance staff, growers, and supervisors regarding farm conditions and other information.
• Maintain equipment and keep trucks and work areas clean, neat, and orderly.
• Pick up each flock as directed.
• Follow the housekeeping schedule with required PPE.
• Foster a positive work environment through teamwork.
• Other duties as assigned.
