Job summary

The Washoe County School District is seeking a diligent Custodian to keep assigned areas clean, orderly and safe, with responsibilities including security checks, minor maintenance, and set up for events. Shifts may vary across early morning, morning, afternoon, evening or night during the school year.

Position involves extensive cleaning tasks, from floors to restrooms, plus some light maintenance and reporting of repairs.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic sufficient to perform job duties.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials, methods and equipment.
• Experience: six months of reliable work history.

Responsibilities

• Sends, sweeps, mops, scrubs, shampoos, and waxes floors and cleans surfaces.
• Dusts, waxes, washes and polishes furniture and woodwork, fixtures, shelves and counters.
• Cleans restrooms, locker rooms and showers; restocks supplies.
