Job summary

Hartzell Air Movement & Hardwoods in Piqua, OH is seeking a fabrication technician to set up and operate manual and CNC equipment, read blueprints, and uphold safety and Lean practices to produce high-quality finished parts.

You will work with grinders, drills, torches, saws, and various tools, while lifting 10–50 lbs and occasionally overtime as needed. The role emphasizes accuracy and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Fabrication experience is strongly desired.
• Good understanding of blue print reading and math skills.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
• Must read part numbers and directions on worksheets.

Responsibilities

• Receives work orders and follows directions from Supervisor or team lead.
• Sets up and operates manual fabrication equipment (shears, roll forming, iron worker, punch press).
• Sets up and operates CNC equipment (turret punch press, laser, plasma, brake press) via programs and layouts.
• Manually moves material using hoists, pallet trucks, and tow motors as needed.
• Maintains safe, clean work environment and supports Lean initiatives.
• Supports other departments or duties as necessary.
