Job summary

Hartzell Industries in Piqua, OH is seeking a General Manufacturing - Fabrication Night Shift to fabricate parts from flat sheet goods and structural material following established procedures.

The role requires operating manual fabrication equipment and CNC equipment such as turret punch press, laser torch, plasma torch and brake press, reading work orders, and maintaining a safe, clean workplace while supporting Lean initiatives and overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience with handheld grinders and drills.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
• Good blueprint reading and math skills required.
• Ability to read part numbers and directions on worksheets.

Responsibilities

• Receive work orders from supervisor or team lead.
• Set up and operate manual fabrication equipment (shears, roll forming, iron worker, punch press).
• Set up and operate CNC equipment (turret punch, laser torch, plasma torch, brake press).
• Move material using hoists, pallet trucks, and tow motors.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and follow safety rules.
• Support Lean initiatives and other departments as needed.
