Job summary

Gulf Island is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor in Houma, LA to uphold safety regulations and supervise a diverse enclosure tanks manufacturing team. You will organize the workforce, ensure efficient workflows, and direct coaching, disciplinary actions and training in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires coordinating production, meeting budgets and delivery timelines while maintaining quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing (enclosures, assembly or tanks).
• Read, write and speak proficient English.
• Ability to supervise multiple projects and departments simultaneously.
• Knowledgeable in assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of enclosure tanks employees.
• Assure monthly goals and KPIs are met.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and prevent bottlenecks.
• Set priorities for the team to ensure daily task completion.
• Monitor, track and meet project labour hours.
• Interview candidates, hire, supervise and evaluate staff; manage performance.
