Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Night Shift Extrusion Machine Operator for a company in Cullman, AL. This role offers growth within manufacturing of PEX/piping products and requires hands-on operation with extrusion tools and process parameters.

You'll work 6pm–6am on a rotating 2-on/2-off schedule, with a day shift train-up for 30–100 days. The job emphasizes productivity, quality control, and teamwork; familiarity with hand and power tools and ability to lift 50+ lbs is needed.

Night Shift Extrusion Machine Operator

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Night Shift Extrusion Operator for a company based in Cullman, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow within your company while being a beneficial part of manufacturing PEX/piping products.

Pay Rate

$17.80– $19.40per hour

Schedule and Hours

Night shift 6pm – 6am (will train on day shift 6am-6pm for 30-100 days)

2 days on – 2 days off – 3 days on, rotation (have to be able to work every other weekend)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with hand tools and power tools and physically remove and install hot extrusion tools weighing in excess of 50lbs.
• Adjust and size processing parameters.
• Observe and record all blends of materials and maintain levels in material hoppers.
• Responsible for maintaining articles within set parameters of production and optimizing all processes.
• Troubleshoot all process problems and work in all areas of PEX production.
• Ensure product and processes meet the standards relating to quality.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2 years previous operator
• Analyze problems involving production, execute activities to achieve department objectives, and consistently identify opportunities for improvement and notify proper people.
• Good communication, able to multi-task, detail – oriented, and able to direct and complete tasks reliably
• Well organized, self-driven, willing to work hard, comfortable in a team environment
• Math test required
