Description

Rehau | Water Technologies is seeking a skilled Extrusion Machine Operator to join our team in Cullman, AL. This position is responsible for operating extrusion equipment to produce PEX pipe, ensuring product quality, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a safe and efficient production process. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor extrusion machines to produce PEX pipe according to company specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.
• Perform hourly quality checks to verify product dimensions, appearance, and other critical factors.
• Use computers and production software to track job progress, input data, and manage documentation.
• Work safely in a fast-paced, 12-hour shift environment, standing for extended periods.
• Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with team members while also demonstrating the ability to work independently when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience operating extrusion machines or similar manufacturing equipment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Comfortable using a computer to enter data and track production.
• Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Ability to work well in a team environment but also independently as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 12-hour shifts (day and/or night shifts available).
