Job summary

SIMONA AMERICA Inc. in Pennsylvania seeks a Machine Operator to operate an extruder forming thermoplastic sheets (PP, PVC, PE). You will read orders, set up runs, and adjust gauges, speeds, and changeovers while maintaining quality records.

Daily tasks include using calipers and micrometers to fine tune dies, assembling and disassembling equipment for cleaning, and packaging finished sheets for shipment. A strong safety mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced production line are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience appreciated.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and procedures.
• Basic math skills for measurements and unit conversions.
• Willingness to obtain forklift and safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate extruder to form sheets from polypropylene, PVC & polyethylene.
• Read orders, set up runs and adjust gauges, speeds, and changeovers.
• Use calipers and micrometers to fine-tune dies and processes.
• Maintain accurate production records and pack finished products for shipping.
