Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking an Ext Grinder to support production by managing scrap from Extrusion and Thermoforming. You will work with the operations team and report to the Supervisor, upholding safety, quality, and productivity as core values.

The role runs on a 4 days on / 4 days off schedule at Plant City, FL, with a pay rate of $19.88 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential. Forklift ops and PPE compliance are required; prior on-site certification is provided.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Forklift and clamp truck experience; on-site certification will be provided.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all scrap produced by the Extrusion and Thermoforming departments.
• Ensure scrap is placed directly into scrap trailers and kept off the warehouse floor.
• Communicate and coordinate with the shipping department to schedule scrap and roll trucks.
• Maintain effective communication across teams to support operational needs.

Summary Description:

The Ext Grinder is responsible for supporting the production environment by managing scrap generated by both the Extrusion and Thermoforming departments. This role requires strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity—core values of the TOPPAN culture. The Ext Grinder works collaboratively within the operations team and reports directly to the Supervisor.

Position: Ext Grinder Hiring Manager: Matthew Crabtree Hours: 6:45am-7:00pm or 6:45pm-7:00am, 4 days on / 4 days off Location: Plant City, FL Rate: $19.88/hr. + $ .50 shift differential

What you’ll be doing:
