Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking an Extruder Operator in Plant City, FL. The role focuses on safe, quality-driven production with preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.

You will work 6:45am-7:00pm or 6:45pm-7:00am, four days on and four days off, and will operate the extruder line and material-handling equipment, including forklift and clamp truck.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience or related training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to repair and maintain extruder line equipment.
• Forklift and clamp truck experience.

Responsibilities

Summary Description: Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Extruder Operator is responsible for supporting production within our manufacturing operations. This role requires strong attention to safety, quality, productivity, and adherence to TOPPAN’s core values and work ethic.

Hours: 6:45am-7:00pm or 6:45pm-7:00am 4 days on/4 days off

Location: Plant City, FL

What you’ll be doing:

• Operate and monitor the extruder line at a mid‑level skill capacity.
• Perform light and preventive maintenance activities, including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Ensure the extrusion process meets production and quality standards.
• Safely operate a forklift and clamp truck.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make appropriate adjustments as needed.

We’d love to hear from you if:

• Previous manufacturing experience and/or related training
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow directions and troubleshoot equipment
• Ability to repair and maintain extruder line equipment
• Forklift and clamp truck experience
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Basic computer skills preferred
