Job summary

Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to join the Environmental Services UHTMC team. The role supports keeping the hospital clean, safe, and sanitary for patients, staff, and visitors.

Speak and read English and communicate effectively with patients, staff and visitors.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
Know how to operate cleaning and floor-care equipment safely.
Be ready to complete a competency assessment within 30–60 days of hire.
Attention to detail to maintain cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

Clean and service hospital areas from patient rooms to common spaces according to procedures.
Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to prepare spaces for functions.
Follow infection control standards and safety procedures to keep environments sanitary.
Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
Read and follow cleaning chemical labels and safety instructions.
