Job summary

AdventHealth Littleton is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department. This part-time, night-shift role involves triage, prioritizing patient care, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced ED environment.

You will administer IV therapies, manage medications, document care in the EMR, and ensure patient safety while adhering to hospital protocols. RN license and ED experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 2+ acute care nursing experience preferred.
• 2+ emergency nursing experience preferred.
• RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients upon arrival to the ED and prioritize care using the ESI tool.
• Assign patients to appropriate treatment areas based on observations, vitals, history, and ESI level.
• Perform, document, and report procedures per hospital policy.
• Assess and intervene in suspected abuse or neglect cases.
• Administer IV therapy, medications, blood products, and drips as needed.
• Use CPOE and EMR for patient information retrieval.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and participate in problem-solving.
• Maintain licensure and ongoing education required for ED work.
• Other duties as assigned
