Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Registered Nurse II for a full-time night shift. The RN II provides professional nursing care, conducts assessments, assists with exams and treatment, educates patients, and maintains medical records while collaborating with physicians and the interprofessional health care team to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Twelve months RN experience is required along with Texas licensure (compact allowed), BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI certifications.

Qualifications

• Twelve months RN experience in a healthcare environment.
• Texas RN licensure (or compact) with permanent license within 60 days if relocating to Texas.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and coordinate with physicians and interprofessional care team.
• Provide direct patient care, monitor treatment, and manage emergencies as needed.
• Develop and update plan of care in partnership with patient and family.
• Educate patients and families and maintain accurate medical records.
