Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide comprehensive nursing care across the continuum in a diverse acute care setting. The RN is accountable to the Ohio Board of Nursing for nursing practice and delegates tasks to LPNs and UAPs as appropriate.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency within a High Reliability Organization framework.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing; BSN preferred after 5 years of employment.
• Current RN license from the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial and ongoing health status assessments.
• Outcomes Identification/Planning - Documents planned interventions to meet patient needs.
• Implementation/Evaluation - Evaluates response to nursing interventions and revises plan of care.
• Leadership - Participates in process improvement to improve quality and safety.
• Operations - Supports department operations and safety in daily duties.

Education
