Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide comprehensive nursing care across the patient care continuum. The role is night shift with a 36-hour weekly schedule in the ED.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, delegating tasks to LPNs and UAPs per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. A current Ohio RN license and BLS are required, with BSN preferred for future advancement.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• RN license and current Ohio nursing license (or multi-state compact).
• BSN degree required at 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patient needs; perform ongoing health status assessments.
• Plan outcomes and document nursing interventions with a focus on patient goals.
• Implement and evaluate nursing care; adjust plans with the care team.
• Lead process improvements to meet quality and safety targets.
• Support department operations and staffing requirements.
