NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk in Patchogue, NY, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time night-shift role provides essential patient care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with physicians and the care team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

The position requires NYS RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, with PALS/TNCC preferred within the first year. A two-year nursing program completion is required, and prior ED experience is valued.

Formación

• Completion of a two-year training at an accredited School of Nursing.
• 1+ years in relevant department preferred for Per Diem RN roles.
• Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS and TNCC certifications preferred within the first year.

Responsabilidades

• Collect patient health data by involving the patient, family, and other healthcare providers.
• Perform initial assessment based on the patient’s presentation.
• Record relevant data on the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Admission Assessment.
• Demonstrate awareness of the special needs of each age group or culture served.
• Perform ongoing assessments as established by department policy and as warranted by the patient’s response.
• Incorporate discharge planning into the admission process.
• Analyze assessment data to identify problems and expected outcomes.
• Communicate expected outcomes to the patient, family, and other healthcare providers.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Document the initial plan of care and provide updates as required.
