Job summary

Monterey Park Hospital in the San Gabriel Valley is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department on a full-time night shift. The RN will perform triage, assessment, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning, and health education.

The ideal candidate will hold a California RN license with BLS, ACLS, and PALS, have ER or critical care experience, and meet regulatory requirements. CPI/AB508 within 90 days is required, and a critical care training program is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 months of recent ER or critical care experience in an acute general hospital required.
• Current CA RN License.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) required.
• CPI/AB508 or equivalent within 90 days of hire, transfer, or promotion.
• Completion of a critical care training program preferred.
• Proficiency in both written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to ED patients including timely triage, physical assessment, treatment, reassessment, discharge planning, and health education.
• Collaborate with all members of the multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and the public.
• Meet and exceed CDPH, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.
