Job summary

Monterey Park Hospital in the San Gabriel Valley is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department on a full-time night shift. The RN reports to the Director of Critical Care Services and delivers comprehensive ED care in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 6 months ER/critical care experience, CA RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification. English proficiency is required, with CPI/AB508 training within 90 days of hire; critical care training is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 months of ER or critical care experience in an acute general hospital.
• Current CA RN License.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) required.
• CPI/AB508 or equivalent within 90 days of hire, transfer, or promotion.
• Completion of a critical care training program preferred.
• Proficiency in both written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to ED patients including triage, physical assessment, treatment, reassessment, and discharge planning.
• Contribute to quality, safety and performance improvement activities and meet regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding service to patients, families, physicians and the public.
