Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required prior to completing ED orientation.
• PALS must be completed within one year of hire date.
• 2-3 years of ED or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans with the healthcare team.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
