Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ, is seeking a qualified registered nurse to collaborate with healthcare professionals in treating patients with injuries, illnesses or disabilities. The role includes monitoring patients, administering medications, educating patients, and maintaining detailed records.

The ideal candidate has a BSN (preferred) and 2–3 years of ED or acute care experience, with BLS mandatory and ACLS and PALS requirements to be completed within specified

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• 2-3 years of ED experience or acute care experience
• BLS required
• ACLS required prior to ED orientation
• PALS to be completed within one year of hire date with the exception of pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
