Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time, day-shift role (7A-7P) requires collaboration with the care team to monitor patients, administer medications, educate patients, and maintain thorough health records.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of ED or acute care experience, with BLS on file and ACLS/PALS timelines as required for orientation and patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and active NJ RN license.
• 2-3 years ED or acute care experience.
• BLS required; ACLS prior to ED orientation; PALS within one year of hire.
• Specialty knowledge, skills, and abilities may be required based on department/specialty group assigned

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
