Job summary

Northern Nevada Health System's ER is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for night shift in Sparks, NV. The role provides professional nursing care in the Emergency Department, coordinating with other disciplines to meet psychosocial, physical and general care needs.

The ideal candidate holds an NV RN license with 2–3 years in ED or critical care (EMS background also accepted), BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. You will triage, monitor hemodynamics and communicate changes to ED physicians.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN License.
• Two to three years in the emergency department preferred OR Two to three years critical care Exp OR extensive EMS background experience.
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
• Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
• This includes pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients.
• Accurately assigns triage categories.
