Job summary
Bloom Energy in Fremont, CA is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our on-site manufacturing team. This night-shift role (6pm–6am, Thursday–Saturday, with alternating Wednesdays) reports to the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor and requires hands-on trouble shooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of complex equipment.
You will coordinate with the spares team, implement engineering upgrades, ensure LOTO compliance, and document repairs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Mechanical and electrical systems up to 480 VAC.
- High temperature systems up to 1200°C.
- PLC and automation experience.
- MIG/TIG/Arc welding experience encouraged.
- Tool & Die skills with precision measurement (laser).
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair downed machines in Stack Manufacturing.
- Perform machine installations or modifications as instructed.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Review spares inventory and inform spares team when used.
- Support equipment testing group and ensure LOTO compliance.
- Operate CMMS software and basic PC tools.
