Job summary

Flex is seeking a maintenance technician to support automation and robotics systems in its Austin, TX facility. The role focuses on keeping automated equipment running through proactive maintenance, diagnostics, and component replacement.

The candidate will read schematics, work with engineering on system qualifications, and assist with installation and calibration of process equipment. This is a hands-on, night-shift position requiring collaboration with the automation team.

Qualifications

Experience with automation and robotics equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Comfort reading electrical schematics and complex drawings.
Familiarity with maintenance of automated manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system components.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and return to serviceability.
Ensure preventative maintenance of robotic and process support equipment on a regular schedule.
Read and interpret electrical schematics and complex automated drawings.
Collaborate with the automation team in qualifying automated systems.
