Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense, based in the Roanoke area of Virginia, is seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician for the 3rd shift. You will support manufacturing processes for night vision systems, implementing improvements and reviewing components to optimize yield and productivity.

The role requires an associate degree in engineering or equivalent experience, 2+ years in manufacturing, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work on the shop floor with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2-year associate's degree in an Engineering field or equivalent relatable experience is required.
• 2+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Must be able to work 3rd shift.
• PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on engineering technician on the 3rd shift.
• Assist in daily operations and maintenance of manufacturing processes for night vision systems.
• Drive cost reduction through yield and productivity improvements, and waste elimination.
• Engage with factory teams on the shop floor & apply Six-Sigma and Lean tools.
