Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, Florida, is seeking an EMT/Emergency Medical Technician to join our night shift team. The role involves transporting patients, operating emergency vehicles, and providing basic life support according to SOPs.

You will document patient care, communicate with nurses and dispatch, maintain equipment, and ensure safety during transport; requires BLS and EMT cert and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Emergency medical technician certification and state licensure.
• Associate degree or higher preferred in a health-related field.
• Experience with EMS transport and patient handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates delays and updates to dispatch and reports any damage or vehicle issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Adheres to SOPs and ensures patient documentation is accurate and complete.
• Communicates findings and patient conditions to nurses and paramedics.
• Assists with setup of ventilator, cardiac monitor, IV lines, and pumps.
• Maintains equipment and ensures readiness of the unit.
• Operates emergency vehicles safely in varied conditions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
