Animal Emergency Clinic St. Louis is seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician / Assistant to support 24/7 emergency care.

The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience and credentials, with opportunities for professional growth within PetVet Care Centers. Responsibilities include patient care, assisting with examinations and surgeries, maintaining records, stocking supplies, and communicating with owners.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in the veterinary field.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• RV T license preferred (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by examinations and interviews; review care plans and records; perform diagnostic tests as directed.
• Care for patients by monitoring vital signs, administering meds, vaccines, and wound care.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgeries; prepare supplies and assist with procedures.
• Maintain medical records, sterilize and maintain equipment, and ensure safe, clean holding areas.
• Communicate updates to pet owners as directed by the veterinarian.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and participate in continuing education.
• Release pets to owners with appropriate instructions and ensure proper grooming before release.
• Follow directions precisely and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
