Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA seeks a Part-Time Emergency Department Technician for night shifts. You will assist physicians and nurses, perform ED procedures, and support patients in a high-acuity setting.

Requirements include EMT-B or equivalent, HS diploma, and BLS; 24 hours/week. This ED role offers competitive pay and benefits as part of Sentara Health.

Qualifications

• HS - High School Grad or Equivalent.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR
• Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR
• Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) having completed at least one semester within the program.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse in implementing plans of care for emergency/minor emergency care patients.
• Performs patient procedures and treatments under supervision of the Physician, Advanced Practitioner, or Nurse.
• De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire.
