Essentia Health seeks a Health Unit Coordinator to support the Emergency Department operations at St Marys Medical Center in Duluth, MN. You will coordinate flow with radiology, lab, and patient transport, enter verbal orders into Epic, and scribes during trauma.

You’ll assist with non-nursing tasks alongside nurses and document requests for Hospitalists via Stat Doc and physicians via Med Direct. Full or part‑time schedule with a 0.75 FTE and night rotation, ensuring coverage including some

• Completion of a health unit coordinator program or medical secretary program
• 1 year experience or training in a hospital or clinic setting as a health unit coordinator, medical secretary, or medical receptionist
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associate's degree in healthcare or related field preferred

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate flow with radiology, laboratory, and patient transport.
• Enter verbal orders into Epic; scribes during a trauma.
• Support non-nursing functions in collaboration with nurses.
• Coordinate and document requests for Hospitalists through Stat Doc, and for physicians through Med Direct.
• Obtain pertinent information from other facilities for attending physicians.
• Answer call lights and coordinate with nursing staff to meet patient needs.
• Perform clerical and reception duties; requisition supplies, equipment, and services as directed.
• Monitor security cameras and respond to access requests into the Emergency Department.
