Job summary

Reading Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Night Shift Emergency team. The Advanced Practitioner will support ED physicians in evaluating and treating patients in both the main and pediatric EDs, serving as a primary health care provider and clinical leader.

The role emphasizes team collaboration, documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary professionals in a high-volume Level I Trauma Center with extensive resources.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s Degree.
• PA license and NCCPA certification.
• Active BLS and DEA licenses.
• DOT Medical Examiner certification optional but preferred.
• Driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist ED physicians in evaluating and treating patients in the main and pediatric EDs.
• Serve as a primary health care provider managing health problems and conditions.
• Lead clinically and coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and other professionals.
• Collaborate with team to coordinate care and document patient charts.
