Job summary

OSRAM SYLVANIA Inc. is seeking an Electrical Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in an on-site Hillsboro facility.

The role supports production and maintenance by ensuring equipment reliability and safety, with a 3rd shift 11:00pm–7:00am and a rotating 13-on/1-off schedule, occasional overtime with Saturday work and Sunday overtime pay. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and technical electrical training or equivalent experience, plus strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certificate, vocational training, associate degree in electrical technology, or equivalent electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing electrical equipment in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and maintenance incl. motors, motor control centers, relays, breakers, disconnects, and rotating machinery.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, sketches, control wiring diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
• Ability to use electrical test equipment, including a multimeter.
• Knowledge of wiring practices under NFPA standards.
• Work with Engineering to design/implement solutions when problems arise.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, motors, panels, lighting, controls, sensors, drives, lasers, robots.
• Diagnose electrical faults using test equipment and diagrams.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facilities.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair control systems and motor controls.
