Job summary

Standard Textile Carolina, Inc. is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair equipment, ensuring reliable operations across our facility.

The role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Responsibilities include troubleshooting malfunctions, performing preventive maintenance on machines and building systems, and working with PLC drives and VFDs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's in Industrial Electricity/Electronics preferred.
• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience (welding preferred).
• Knowledge of 3-phase motor wiring, starters and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, drives and control systems preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry and push/pull light and heavy materials.
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stand, crawl, and walk.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & repair equipment malfunctions
• Perform preventative maintenance to the building and machines
• Perform work related to PLC drives and VFD (variable frequency drives)
• Maintain spare part inventory
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
