Job summary

Freshpet is hiring an Electrical Controls Maintenance Technician Night Shift to troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical, automation, and mechanical systems in our Texas manufacturing facility.

The role focuses on 24VDC/120VAC/480VAC systems, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs, and FactoryTalk HMIs, with VFD programming and motor control work supporting continuous production and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED with technical PLC/electrical training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical systems at 24VDC, 120VAC, and 480VAC.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and control documentation.
• Diagnose and repair Allen‑Bradley/Rockwell PLC controlled equipment.
• Maintain FactoryTalk HMI systems.
• Program, configure, and replace VFDs.
• Repair motor control components and MCCs.
• Troubleshoot Ethernet/IP networks and automation devices.
• Maintain conveyors, robotics, servo systems, and machine vision equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance; document activities in CMMS.
