Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to support nursing staff on a hospital unit. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, document care activities, and help coordinate patient flow and information management.

Responsibilities include maintaining medical records, assisting with admissions/discharges, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires BLS, teamwork, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Six months of related clinical experience.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent or CNA-related coursework preferred.
• One year experience as unit clerk/secretary in an acute care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the interprofessional team to deliver quality patient care under a licensed nurse.
• Manages medical records, transcription, order entry, and documentation.
• Supports resource management of equipment, supplies, and department resources.
• Greets and assists patients and families, answers inquiries, and directs as appropriate.
• Communicates with physicians and staff using paging systems and phones; visits patient rooms as needed.
