Job summary

Island Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the Full Time / Night Shift in Anacortes, WA. The ED Tech will perform direct patient care under RN and physician supervision and handle clerical tasks to support ED operations.

Requirements include NA-C or WA EMT certification and BLS, with prior ED or ambulance experience preferred. Night differential and multiple shift differentials apply as listed, with a $4,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) course of study or EMT Basic level or higher.
• Current NA-C or WA State EMT Certification and active state registration.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to rooms and treatment areas.
• Obtains and documents vital signs and monitors patient status.
• Assists licensed staff with procedures and routine care.
• Performs point-of-care testing and supports charting in the EMR.
• Provides clerical support and coordinates patient flow in the ED.
