Job summary

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (EDT) for full-time night shifts. This role supports RN and provider teams, delivers hands-on patient care, and helps keep the ED running smoothly.

You'll gain experience in vital signs, procedures, wound care support, phlebotomy, and ED operations while building patient relationships in a fast-paced Level II Trauma Center.

Qualifications

• Current WA EMT, CNA, or CMA credentials required or to be obtained.
• Minimum 1 year experience as CNA/MA/EMT or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients arriving from triage or transport.
• Take and document vital signs and report changes promptly.
• Assist with mobility, comfort, and personal care needs.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Support providers and nurses during exams and interventions.
• Apply dressings, splints, and other treatments within scope.
• Monitor patients and provide continuous observation as needed.
• Transport patients safely within the hospital.
• Keep rooms stocked and organized; document orders and results.
